His Negotiations Did Not Fail

TBH we always thought it would be Obi-Wan Kenobi or maybe Leia Organa who would reach out to us first to express approval for Star Wars & Conflict Resolution. Or Padme Amidala. Or, of course, Luke Skywalker himself.

Turns out we were wrong.

Instead, it was the Emperor. The Emperor.

At a recent diplomatic event, he met with SWCR author Jeroen Camps, whose amazing chapter (with Maja Graso) provided a case study of Star Wars’ most successful high-level negotiation: The Gungan / Naboo Treaty. While this treaty seemingly threw a wrench in Palpatine’s plan, he recovered nicely. At any rate, he expressed his approval of the book (and probably enjoyed his wisdom being featured in the title).
